Ala Lysyk, 2022,

Ala Lysyk is an accomplished storyteller, explorer, visual artist and instructor. Traveling throughout the years has allowed her perception of reality to change, Ala endeavors to shoot compelling stories that will inspire others to evaluate their relationship with nature and explore what’s right outside.

 

Metamorphically shaped by her love of the ocean, film and traveling, Ala is known for her passion with the water and capturing its beauty. Through the art of media Ala strives to share her vision of wild places and the people that call it home. Ala’s affable personality pairs well with her open-mindedness, allowing her to record the essence and individual identity of a person or location.

 

At the age of 25, Ala has been part of a TIFF premier film, a certified dive instructor for 7 years, a Norman Jewison Award recipient for her work. During the COVID pandemic, Ala has been using her time to recalibrate, develop personal projects and skills while raising an adorable dog named Eve.
